How to make a DVD Slide Show

1.  Organize your photos, generally a chronological order is used.  Baby pictures to the present.  You may want to segment the video into different time periods i.e., Birth to college, marriage and family, friends, travel, children's marriages, etc.  (If you give us your scanned photos on a memory card, we would like them to be sized 720x480 and most importantly they need to be renamed in the order you want them to appear in the video i.e., Wilson 001, Wilson 002.  This process will save you time and money.)

2.  Length.  The Video Editor will normally hold each photo for 5-6 seconds, group photos slightly longer.  100 photos equals approximately 10 minutes of running time.

3.  Label.  Place each segment in its own envelope and carefully number the photos, include a title to begin each segment.

4.  Music.  Music should reflect the various moods and stages of life.  The Video Editor can use your CD's.  You can search and purchase songs from iTunes.  The Video Editor does not provide music.

5.  Deliver.  Bring your organized project to The Video Editor where one of our consultants will take in your order and will process it just the way you envisioned it.  Please allow 7-10 working days.  We will schedule a preview prior to your due date.  Rush service available.

FAQ

Q: How do I organize my photo/35mm slide order?

A: Most people arrange the photos or slides in a chronological order.  Baby pictures to the present.  You may want to segment the photos into different time periods i.e., birth to college, marriage and family, friends, travel, etc.  Place each segment in it's own envelope and carefully number the photos in the back of the photos with a soft pencil or sticker, not post it notes as they fall off.

Q: How long will the video be and how long is each photo held for?

A: The Video Editor normally will hold each photo for 5-6 seconds, group photos slightly longer.  100 photos equals approximately 10 minutes of runtime.

Q: What about music?

A: Please provide us with your store bought CD's.  The music should reflect the various moods and stages of life. We can fade in or out of a song, so we don't have to play the whole song.  For the 100 photo montage order, you will need 10-12 minutes of music.  It's good to include an extra song in case it's needed.  We will return your music.  Please tell us what song goes with what photos.

Q: Do you include titles?

A: Yes, each package includes two free titles, usually at the beginning and end.  Additional titles can be added for $5 each.

Q: Can you add video clips?

A: Yes, you would need to send us the videotape the clip is on and you would need to be very clear where it is and what it is.  We charge $10 a video clip.

Q: Can I add additional photos to your packages?

A: Yes, additional photo charge will apply, see options when ordering.  The additional charge includes the additional computer and music edit.

Q: How long does it take to complete a photo collage package?

A: We can work with your timetable, our normal turnaround is 10 working days, for a rush charge we can get it done sooner.
